Rangoon

Here’s how our days go: wake up between 5 and 5:30am. Breakfast at 6am. Shoot from 6:30am to 11:30. Lunch. Then back out to shoot until past sunset. Dinner. Downloading and editing until past midnight. This makes for long days, but they are pretty amazing days!

Rangoon (also known as Yangon) is the largest city in Burma, and the former capital. Rangoon is relatively undeveloped compared to other major cities in Southeast Asia. Rangoon is no longer the administrative capital. (The military junta has officially relocated the capital to Naypyidaw since March 2006.) However, Rangoon continues to be the largest city and the most important commercial center in the country, with a population of nearly 6 million.

While in Rangoon, we really stuck to the monostaries… loved the novice monks and nuns!
