Dodging Diabetes 2008

I love this event!

For the third year in a row, I photographed Dodging Diabetes, a charity dodgeball tournament in Bethesda.

Anna Tiedeman, Elizabeth Kramer and a team of volunteers from the D.C. area founded the Dodging Diabetes charity in 2005 to raise money and awareness to defeat diabetes for good. Both Anna and Elizabeth have brothers who live with Type 1 diabetes. Dodging Diabetes has netted thousands for the Joslin Diabetes Center through its annual charity dodgeball tournaments.

Congratulations to Dance Party Vietnam for winning first place at this year’s dodgeball tournament and to the Big Red Balls team for collectively raising the most donations for the charity. (Over $4,000!) Overall, Dodging Diabetes raised over $15,000 for the Joslin Diabetes Center. Amazing!

I look forward to next March for the 4th Annual Dodgeball Tournament. It’s always a blast!

The winners, Dance Party Vietnam!

It even made the nightly news- and there I am, that blurry little blob on the floor taking photos 🙂
