First off- Anne’s mom made her wedding dress, the bridemaid dresses AND their purses! How amazing is that?!
The couple got ready at Jury’s and then we all walked over to the Washington Club to do some formal pictures before the ceremony, which would also take place there later. It was such a perfect day outside- no rain, no wind, and no blinding sun. We had a really good time walking around Dupont and then headed inside for the ceremony.
The ceremony was as unique as Anne and Lane. Sweet music, amazing speeches and poems by friends, tearful vows, and of course a great first kiss. After the cocktail hour guests poured into the amazingly decorated (cherry blossoms, candles, and handmade place cards) dining room.
The couple soon entered, ready for their first dance. It started out sweet and typical, but all of a sudden Anne and Lane pulled out plastic guitars and started rocking out. It was so great. The whole room was laughing and smiling. You could tell everyone in the room was so happy for these two.
And of course the night isn’t finished until your family and friends send you off properly… with noisemakers and kazoos!
