Lauren + Jamie are married!
In September I took a little drive up to Long Island for their wedding. Next time I’ll figure out how to get there without driving through Manhattan…
These two had a simply gorgeous day, right on the water. And once the sun went down, well, the party was just starting- these New York folk sure know how to party!

The most important thing for us when we were planning the wedding was that everyone have a really great time. We felt so honored that so many people in our lives came to celebrate with us and we wanted them to really enjoy the night.

We selected our venue because it was a beautiful location right on the water, but also served amazing food. Since the wedding, we have heard raves from many of our guests regarding the food.

Jamie and I always have a lot of fun when we’re together and we wanted to make sure that came across at the wedding. Our officiant did a wonderful job of telling our story and making our ceremony both sweet and fun. It was the perfect ceremony for the two of us. We also love to dance together at weddings. We made sure we had a wonderful band and we danced all night long!

One of my favorite little details was our cake topper. The wooden figurines were painted to match our wedding clothes and there was a tiny version of our dog, Lola. It was a little way for us to include her in the day.

There were so many special parts of the day for me. I loved getting ready in the hotel with my mom and bridesmaids. I loved the first looks with my dad and Jamie. Jamie enjoyed ending the night with cigars with his dad and brother. We both had the best time dancing for hours with our friends and family.
