It was another iffy-looking weather day in DC, but again it held out. In fact, we never saw a drop!
The day started out at the fabulous Hotel Sofitel in Lafayette Square. I seriously parked half a block from the White House- gotta love DC! Juliana was simply stunning in her dress. Her hair was also amazing! Simple and elegant, and not overdone.
Then we hopped on the party bus to the church. I had such a good time with her bridesmaids (all her sisters) and the flower girls (her nieces) and the rest of her family that came along.
The mass at St. Joseph’s on Capitol Hill was very nice, and then we did some formals. One of my favorite pictures that we did was when they were getting ready to exit the church after all the formals. I love the stained glass windows and their silhouettes.
Then we headed over to the Capitol and the WWII Memorial, which was a lot of fun. As always, kids and adults high-fived the groom and the bride. It’s always really cute to see this!
After pictures we headed to the reception at DAR Constitution Hall. How cool! Not only is this place a historical landmark filled with treasures and history, but it’s also gorgeous.
The guests enjoyed a perfect night out on the portico enjoying the sights of DC and some really good food. After dinner the guests were excited to see a lovely candy bar outside- just take a bag and fill it up with your favorite goodies. Everyone then got ready to dance. The live band was fantastic.
Even at the bitter end, there were still guests dancing! It was a lovely DC wedding that I’m sure the guests will remember for a long time to come!
Juliana and Mitchel- thanks for letting me be a part of your special day- and enjoy your Caribbean cruise!
