MAPLE SYRUP FESTIVAL
Hosted by the Friends of Cunningham Falls State Park and Gambrill State Park, this event has been a staple in Frederick County for more than 50 years.
Events take place each day of the event from 10AM to 2PM. A sign language interpreter will be stationed at the Sugar Shack. Syrup-making demonstrations and hayrides take place every hour on the hour. $5 donation per person is requested at the entrance. Maple syrup sales are cash-only.
Proceeds from the Maple Syrup Festival benefit the nonprofit Friends of Cunningham Falls and Gambrill State Parks.

BOOK: GRIEF IS LOVE
I’ve already read it twice. It’s just that good. If you’re experiencing grief, anticipatory grief, or any type of loss, this is a book worth reading. (Or, if you’re me, listening. I loooove audiobooks.)
In beautiful, compassionate prose, Lee elegantly offers wisdom about what it means to authentically and defiantly claim space for grief’s complicated feelings and emotions. And Lee is no stranger to grief herself, she shares her journey after losing her mother and a pregnancy. These losses transformed her life and led her to question what grief really is and what healing actually looks like. In this book, she the author reveals the key factors that proper healing requires: permission, care, feeling, grace, and more.
