My New Studio!

I have been waiting oh-so-long to share this exciting news! Yesterday I signed a lease on the space of my dreams.

Mary Kate McKenna Photography is taking the next step in its journey with a beautiful office and studio space at 106 North Market- right next to the Starbucks in Downtown Frederick.  The space is accessible from Market Street as well as the alley behind the building, which borders the East Church Street public parking garage.

I am sharing this space with an amazing human- Sue of Give Rise Studio. I met Sue only a few short months ago when I did a branding session for her business. Immediately, we fell into “business love.” Our goals and passions aligned in a way that was just electric. I left that photoshoot knowing we were going to do big things together, but I wasn’t sure what that was.

Weeks later, Sue reached out about a space and it was a no brainer for me. I have been casually looking for space for years. I missed my office space on Patrick Street and I just couldn’t find what I really wanted- light, bright, historical, community-based and full of good energy. 106 Market Street is all of those things and more. 

Did I mention I’ll have a STUDIO?! 18 foot ceilings with natural light pouring in. I’ll be taking my love of business branding and UnCorporate headshots to a whole new level, and I can’t wait to share more in June!

As a creative community space, there are opportunities for the community to utilize the space through classes and workshops to not only serve the community members that come to the studio, but also be a part of helping support local creatives and nonprofits/organizations that improve the lives of our community. We believe that creativity and health promotes compassion, confidence and joy as a catalyst for positive change.

We will be sharing updates as the space gets painted and updated for arrival. We are so excited to have you along on our journey. Please follow my work wife Sue, too!
