Stephanie + Huey: Married!
Stephanie + Huey are married!
It’s always great to go home for weddings, and even better when I’ve known the bride since 5th grade! Stephanie and I grew up in the same neighborhood in Chesterton, Indiana and went to middle school and high school together. In fact, we both played on the golf team.
Stephanie and Huey come from very different cultural backgrounds but met and fell in love in college at Harvard. What I love about these two is how incredibly different they are, but when put together, it completely makes sense and works so well. It’s always so awesome for me to see people who I grew up with starting an amazing life of their own.
The two tied the knot at the SS Constantine and Helen Cathedral. Stephanie’s family is Greek, and several family members made the long trip across the pond to be at the wedding. Not to be outdone, Huey’s family is from Korea and many of his relatives made the long flight as well!
The reception was held at Sand Creek Country Club
. During the cocktail hour Stephanie and Huey held a Korean wedding ceremony. It involved throwing dates and walnuts, which, you know, it’s always a good idea! 🙂 I loved seeing both cultures come together and be represented.
The rest of the evening was spent dancing away- both traditional dances (Opa!) and modern dances (Sexy Back!) which made for a fun night of photographs.
Thank you to Wade Breeitzke of 27 Entertainment
