In all my years in DC, I had never been to a Senate hearing until yesterday. I went to photograph the Foreign Relations hearing on Burma and it was a very cool experience.
It’s amazing where you’re allowed to go if you have a big camera and pretend you know what you’re doing. With no press pass and with zero credentials, I sat next to Sentaors Kerry, Boxer, Murkowski, Cardin, Allen, and Feinstein. It was pretty exciting, but I was waiting for someone to kick me out any moment. Luckily that didn’t happen.
I am very proud of US Campaign for Burma’s actions and getting a hearing in the Senate. I believe our government is well aware of what is going on and is going to take action. Here are a few photos.
