I’ve got some lovely news items about one of my favorite and most special photographs…
- First off, I am honored to have this photograph I took in Bagan, Burma grace the cover (and back cover!) of the latest Soros Foundation Network Report! You can read the PDF right HERE. It is such an honor! The Soros Foundation does incredible work. I actually applied for a photography grant with them and didn’t get it. But, they liked this photo so much they asked me if they could license it for the cover! I’m beyond flattered.
- Secondly, this photograph also appears on the virtual pages of this month’s Pology Magazine! They have previously published my Thailand, Egypt, and Zambia photographs, and I was so excited they selected six of my images for August’s magazine. The direct link is HERE.
- Thirdly, this image was also selected by Photographer’s Forum Magazine as a finalist and then as an Honorable Mention in their Annual Photography Contest. Over 3,000 photographers entered, and only the top 100 images were selected to be Honorable Mentions and/or Winners. My image will be published in the hardcover book, Best of Photography 2008, and my name (and maybe the photo) will be printed in November/Winter 2008 issues of Photographer’s Forum. That is so exciting!
