And that’s when they called me a few months ago. I was all booked up for the year, but after I met with Julie and Darren, heard the story of how they met as counselors at Camp Airy, I couldn’t say no. And I am so glad I didn’t. I did their engagement photos earlier this month, and their wedding yesterday.
Many of Darren’s family flew from across the pond to be with them yesterday, and it was amazing to see just how many people love these two.
Julie and Darren saw each other for the first time before the ketubah signing and it was such a sweet moment. Watching Julie walk towards Darren was fun to watch.
After the ketubah signing, they did a veiling ceremony, and then came the ceremony. All were really nice, intimate, and family-centered.
Then came the big party. The band Millennium tore it up. Or, as Jaime would say, “Bangin‘ and off the chain!” And that’s so true. They rocked it out. And as a fun side note, one of the very talented signers of Millennium is a former American Idol contestant– how cool is that?!
I thought this one was funny
Julie’s little sister grabbed the mic from the band and totally started to free style rap- who knew?!
The boys did a surprise serenade to Julie of “You’ve Lost That Lovin‘ Feeling” It was awesome!
