The Day started out at the Bethesda Hyatt where they got ready. Kim Steele did Jenn’s makeup and hair (as well as the Mom’s) and did a great job- I love doing weddings with her. After getting ready we headed to the Woodend for the big day.
The other great part of the ceremony had to do with a little four year-old named Jackson. Oh, Jackson. I think I would have taken him home with me if I could have. He totally stole my heart! While the celebrant was explaining how the couple had met, he mentioned they had chatted at a dessert party held by a friend. With the audience in complete silence, listening intently to the story, Jackson blurts out with perfect comedic timing, “A DESSERT PARTY!?” It was hard to breathe it was so funny!
Since it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon, many guests chose to roam around outside Woodend, but many also chose to cut a rug on the dance floor. When the party began to wind down, little Jackson came up to me and told me he was a better dancer than I was- well, I wasn’t going to have any of that! So I spun him around a few times till he was dizzy and that was that 🙂
