Jennfier & Robert- Alexandria, Virginia

I have been looking forward to this wedding for a long time. I did J&R’s e-pics last December (it was a freaky 60 degrees and it was lovely!) and we had such a good time.
I decided the best way for me to drive to Alexandria yesterday was to go through the city and hop on 395- what a huge mistake. Between a triathlon, a protest, and the National Book Fair, every single road was closed… I knew there had to be one road open to hop on the main highway, but I couldn’t find it. So I ended up parking my car in Dupont Circle, getting all my stuff out of it, and hailing a cab to Alexandria! It was the best move I could have made because he knew the one road open and drove like a crazy man! But, this is why I always leave SUPER early, because things like this always happen in DC!
The day started with getting ready at the Embassy Suites in Old Town. Jennifer looked so beautiful and radiant, even before she put her dress on. She was ready to get hitched!
The ceremony took place at Collingwood Library, which is a great place! We were right on the water, it was absolutely perfect weather, and everyone was so happy! The ceremony was short and sweet, we did some formals, and then we were off to party!
The celebration took place at the Ft. Belvoir Officer’s Club. Jen absolutely loves 80’s music and so we heard a lot of it! I didn’t think Rob was a dancer, but that’s not true- he totally is! I loved watching Jen and Rob dance with the girls from the youth groups that they both lead. You could tell how much the girls love these two. It was so sweet!
The day was lovely and ran so smoothly thanks to Alex Pare of Cherry Blossom Weddings & Events. Thank you for all your help!
Jen and Rob, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your day. Have a blast in Mexico, and come back well rested!
