Indie Wed 2010

I don’t know where to start with Indie Wed. In a word- rockin’.

I’ve always dreaded bridal shows- both as a photographer and as a bride. I went to one in Maryland, was there for five minutes, and got the heck outta there. But this one was different. And it was awesome.

Indie Wed was unique. It catered to unconventional couples who are taking a more modern, edgy, or eco-friendly approach to their special day as well as the more conservative couples who simply want to add some special touches. It highlighted the work of local independent designers specializing in various wedding related fields including stationery, cakes & pastries, fashion, catering, floral design and, of course, photography.

I *loved* the people I met, both vendors and couples. Over 1,000 people came through on Saturday and I am thrilled I got to be a part of Indie Wed!

Here are a few photos from the day. Some of these were taken by my friend Marissa, who wielded one of my 5Ds like a champ and took some fab photos!

My booth!
Postcard photos… couples loved going through the 50+ different photos and taking their favorites. It was a great promo item!
Some of my albums… yes, there are lots of new things on this table (lots to blog!)
Poor Joe took one for the team and let me take our flatscreen to Chicago. Thanks, honey 🙂
Me! In my booth! With bangs!
I enjoyed watching everyone go through my albums-
always fun to see what people like.

It’s Crystal + Matt! They came up from Indianapolis to come see my at the show! I was so glad to see them again! Their wedding was awesome last July in downtown Indy.
Inspired Goodness had a great booth! I love their stuff!
Awesome dresses on the runway.
